Dustin William Vargas

Dustin William Vargas , 34, died on August 30, 2015 at his residence in Sterling, CO.
He was born July 22, 1981 at Liberal, KS, the son of Lois Ann Elliott and William D. Vargas. He attended Liberal High School, graduating in 2000. Dustin graduated in 2010 from Morgan Community College in Ft. Morgan, CO with an Associates degree in Automotive Collision Repair.
He enjoyed his work as an auto body painter at Schaeffer’s Precision Auto Body in Sterling, CO. He was passionate about cars, especially Mustangs and other muscle cars. He was an avid golfer and loved to have a good time. Family and friends meant a lot to him.
He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Liberal, KS.
He was survived by his
Father – William D. “Willie” Vargas and wife Gina of Liberal, KS;
Mother – Lois Elliott of Sterling, CO;
Step-Brother – Don Manes and Step-Sister, Dava Manes, both of Albuquerque, NM;
Several Aunts and Uncles including Annette Elliott-Spone of Amarillo, TX; Maria Vargas of Pittsburgh, PA; Henry Vargas of Houston, TX and Fred Vargas of Liberal, KS;
and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather – Enrique Vargas, Grandmothers – Bertha Windsor and Pearl J. Elliott; Aunt Rachel Floyd and Uncle Tom Vargas.
Rosary and Vigil will be held at 6:30 pm Thursday, Sept. 10th and
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am Friday, Sept 11th , both at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal, KS. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brennemanfuneralhome.com
