Duane Alexander

Duane Alexander, 75, Ulysses Kansas, died Monday, November 9, 2015, at his residence.

The son of Arthur & Suzie (Dean) Alexander, he was born on July 10, 1940, Satanta, Kansas.

He attended Warrendale School, then on to Ulysses High School and transferred to Garden City High School where he graduated in 1958. He went to Denver after high school and worked for a moving company. Shortly thereafter he moved back to Grant County and began farming. He started dating Linda Bateman.

He and Linda Batman were married on August 20, 1961, Sublette, Kansas.

Survivors include wife, Linda Alexander, Ulysses, KS; two sons, Steve Alexander, Odessa, TX, Mark Alexander, Guymon, OK; three daughters, Julie Schulze, & husband Rick, Green Bay, WA, Tami Rundell, Ulysses, KS, Cindy Rushing & husband Paul, Garland, TX; a brother, Mervin Alexander, Denver, Co; Susan Helsel & husband Richard, Dexter, Ks; 24 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three daughters, Scotty, Arlin & Claude Alexander; two sisters, Marilyn Elmore & Karen Hall

A memorial has been established for A. Duane Alexander Memorial. Memorials may be mailed to Grant County Funeral Home 218 S Main St, Ulysses, KS 67880.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, 10:30 A.M. at Pleasant Prairie Church of God, Garden City, Kansas, burial will be at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, KS.

Grant County Funeral Home, Ulysses is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from Monday 10-8 at Grant County Funeral Home.
