Dorothy Marie Hawkins, 97, died on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Pioneer Manor, Hugoton, KS.

She was the daughter of Everett and Annie (Taylor) Burns.  She was born on December 25, 1920 in Rogers Arkansas.

Dorothy and Paskel were married on May 26, 1941.  He preceded her in death on February 19, 1998.  In 2000, she married Fay Hawkins and he preceded her in death 2006.

She was a member of Assembly of God of Hugoton.

She was a homemaker and also cleaned houses and helped sick people.  She loved and enjoyed being with her family.  Her hobbies include quilting, sewing, growing houseplants, cactus, traveling, camping and fishing.  She had a collections of dolls, glassware, rocks, buttons and frogs.  She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and word searches.

She is survived by a son, Phil Hawkins and wife Cheri; a daughter, Joyce Cox all of Hugoton, KS.; a brother Lonnie Burns, Woodward, OK.; two sisters, Irma Jones, Siloam Springs, AR., Audrey Collar, Bullhead City, AZ.; seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Rick Hawkins, infant son, Carl James Hawkins, three brothers, three sisters, a grandson and a great grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Assembly of God Church, Hugoton.  Burial will follow at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, KS.

Friends may call Friday 2PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
