Dorothy M. “Dot” Vangieson

Dorothy M. “Dot” Vangieson, age 85, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. She was born July 19, 1929 in El Dorado, KS, the daughter of Harry M. and Anna (Gogola) Wilson.
She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1948. She attended El Dorado JUCO for one year. She was a resident of Liberal since 1950.
She worked as a sales clerk for Standard Supply. She loved being a good neighbor and friend. Her hobbies were bowling and gardening. She was known for her roses, her diligent lawn care, being a good neighbor, a great friend and her love of animals.
On Feb. 13, 1955, she married Donald L. Vangieson. He died on Aug. 27, 2007.

1 Daughter Cindy Hall and husband David Liberal, KS
2 Sisters Marcelle Wilson Rosalia, KS
Sue Marie Wilson Rosalia, KS
4 Grandchildren Gabrielle Lam and husband Kevin, Rachel Vangieson, Matthew Schneweis and Ashley Schneweis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 Brothers, Charles Wilson and Frank Wilson and 1 Sister, June Wilson.
Graveside Service will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Restlawn Cemetery, Liberal, KS with Pastor Rex Petty and John Malin presiding.
Visitation will 1 – 8 pm Monday and 9 am – 1 pm Tuesday. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday at Brenneman Funeral Home.
