Doris Faye Desrochers, born on October 14, 1940, in Foss, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and joy touched the lives of many.
Doris dedicated many years of her life to the restaurant and entertainment industries, working for D and D Restaurant and managing Lindberg Lanes at Sublette. Her career exemplified her commitment and passion for service, and she developed deep connections within her community through her professional endeavors.
Doris had a vibrant personality and an array of interests that brought her happiness. She enjoyed bowling, and dancing, and cherished the simple pleasure of watching movies. Doris also had a green thumb; she loved planting a big garden full of tomatoes.
Her proudest accomplishments included raising her children and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. Doris’s family was her greatest treasure, and she found immense joy in their milestones and everyday lives.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Desrochers and wife Robin of Garden City, Kansas; her daughter, Cindy Long and husband Alan of Satanta, Kansas; her sister, Florene Romesburg and her husband Jerry; two brothers, Bobby Clymer of Garden City, Kansas, and Wesley Clymer of Marana, Arizona; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who will hold her memory dear.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved companion, Veryle Story; her daughter, Penny Long; her granddaughter, Sierra Little; two brothers, Gerald and Floyd Clymer; a sister, Linda McCary, and sister-in-law, Yolanda Clymer. These losses remind us of the bonds of love that Doris nurtured throughout her life.
Book Signing will be held in Doris’s honor on March 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Satanta, Kansas.
Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Robson Funeral Home, Satanta and inurnment will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette, Kansas.
