Doris Ann House, age 84, died on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Liberal, Kansas.
She was born on November 16, 1940, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Phillip Edward and Mabel Ruth (Bennett) Schultz.
Doris graduated from high school and was united in marriage to Granville Layfette House. He preceded her in death in 2002. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a cashier at Walmart for several years. She was much loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Roy House of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Four grandchildren, Joshua House of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Austin House of Marysville, Kansas, Conner House of Marysville, Kansas, and Lynell Barnes and her husband, Zach of Yukon, Oklahoma, Eleven great grandchildren, Kevin House of Joplin, Missouri, Zachary House of Liberal, Kansas, Jacob House of Hooker, Oklahoma, Hali House of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Zane House of Tyrone, Oklahoma, Ezekiel House of Kismet, Kansas, Eliana House of Kismet, Kansas, Lane House of Marysville, Kansas, Cole Barnes and his wife, Lillian of Yukon, Oklahoma, Lillian Barnes of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Everly Barnes of Yukon, Oklahoma
She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Edward and Mabel Ruth Schultz, husband, Granville Layfette House, four sisters, Esther, Riva, Betty, Jody, Two brothers, Ronald, Charlie, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home, 1212 W 2nd Street, Liberal, Kansas. The family will be present to greet friends.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jeff Mitchell presiding.
Interment will follow at Midway Cemetery in Flores, Oklahoma.
