Dora May Wilson

Dora May Wilson, age 94, passed away early Thursday morning, August 15, 2019, at the Fowler Residential Care Center, Fowler, Kansas.
She was born May 14, 1925, at Amity, Colorado the daughter of Doren and Mabel (Lapham) Conley. As a young girl she attended school in Kendall, Kansas, graduating from Kendall High School in 1944. A longtime resident of Garden City, she was a medical assistant.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
On May 24, 1947, she married Gene Wilson at Syracuse, Kansas.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Kane of Meade, Kansas, and Glenna Gibbs of Goddard, Kansas; a sister, Faye Jefferson of Macedon, New York; four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Rosa Lee Graham and Betty Wilson; and a grandson, Robert Kane.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, Kansas.
The family would welcome memorials to the Fowler Residential Care Center in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
