Donna Colleen Grimes

Donna Colleen Grimes, 90, formerly of Liberal, KS, passed away on Thursday March 4, 2021 at the Brookdale Senior Living Center in Dodge City, KS.

She was born on December 28, 1930 to James and Eldora (Wright) Cannon at Parsons, KS.

On June 13, 1953 she married Dr. Ira Ross Grimes in Oklahoma City, OK; he preceded her in death on January 1, 2012.

Donna was a graduate of Enid High School in Enid, OK and obtained her Masters Degree in Medical Technology from Philips University in Enid, OK. She was a meticulous note taker. She loved shoes, antique shopping, Folgers coffee, Tom Jones, fast cars, and a good Margarita! She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Liberal.

Donna is survived by Son, James Grimes and wife Lynn of Seminole, OK; Three Daughters, Denise Colleen Pease and husband Mark of Houston, TX, Gail Grimes of Norman, OK, Jackie Grimes of Kansas City, MO; Two Sisters, Janie Jessmer of Dallas, TX and Marilyn Cannon of Millrose, WI; 10 Grandchildren, Aaron (David) Russell, Derek Batton, Keenan Murray, Wyatt Pease, Chase Kearney, Justin Kearney, Stacy (J.C.) Glidewell, C.J. (Kelcey) Grimes, Jared (Rebecca) Grimes, and Tanner Grimes; Five Great Grandchildren, Zoe Glidewell, Cade Glidewell, Tucker Glidewell, Avery Grimes, and Riley Grimes.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Daughter, Rose Mary Grimes, and Brother, J.L. Cannon.

There will be no public viewing.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday March 9, 2021, at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
