Donna Alice Chamness Little

Donna Alice Chamness Little was born on July 25th, 1926 in Cairo, Michigan to parents John and Ruth Chamness.
She passed away peacefully Monday, March 26th, 2018 at age 91.
She graduated from Brighton, Michigan High School, attended Grace School of Nursing, and was in the Cadet Nurse Corp during WWII. She moved to Kansas in 1946 and married Albert Robert “Pat” Little April 26, 1947. She was a housewife and mother, nurse aide, physical therapy assistant, medical records clerk, and drove a school bus route for Richfield Grade School. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, photography, word puzzles, scrabble, jigsaw puzzles and playing board games with her grandchildren. Donna enjoyed driving her neighbors to their appointments. Her biggest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was past Mayor of Richfield.
She is survived by her daughters Sandra Bane and husband Randy of Rolla, Kansas; Vivian Highfill of North Carolina; Amy Little of Holcomb, Kansas; Mary Barker and husband Gary of Hugoton, Kansas; Barbara Little of Holcomb, Kansas; and Leslie Oder and husband Tom of Hugoton, Kansas. Her grandchildren Andy and wife Shara Bane, Jenny and husband Aaron Faimon, Tad Banker and companion Melissa Reynolds, Allan and wife Irma Banker, Angela and husband Joe Miller, Jason Little and companion Carolyn Selbe, BJ and wife Natosha Anderson, Meg Little and companion Joe Wallace, Patrick Little, Darrin and wife Veronica Carroll, Dave Carroll, René Carroll, Rettah and husband John Little, Lisa and husband Alex Archuletta, Kevin Oder, Daniel Oder, and KT Oder. Her great-grandchildren Noah Bane; Evan and Abi Faimon; Dwayne Bates, Allan II and Alyssa Banker; Samantha, Cody, and Felicia Miller; Starr and Cory Little, Jocelyn Selbe; Araby and Kyra Anderson; Ava, Marissa, and Elizabeth Carroll; Aiden Estorga; Dylan Irsisk, Tristan and Paitan Schobert, Mariah, Hannah, Oliviah and Lili Archuleta; Caiden Oder; Naomi and Josiah Little. And great-great-grandchildren Adilah, Mya and Stephen Bates and Jacob Wilson; sisters, Doris Thompson and Sally Roser; a brother, Ed Chamness and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Robert Little four brothers, Johnny, Dave, Dick, and Guard.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 1 PM at Richfield United Methodist Church, Richfield, KS and burial following Richfield Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday 10 AM to 8PM at the funeral home.
