Donald Mark Kramer, 66, died Saturday April 30, 2022 at his home in Liberal, Kansas. He was born February 9, 1956 in Oakland, California, the son of Don and Norma (Bowman) Kramer.

Mark moved to Garden City with his family at a young age, it was here that he attended and graduated from the local schools. Mark worked in the maintenance and housekeeping division for St. Catherine Hospital before relocating to Liberal, Kansas. He then worked in the housekeeping division for Southwest Medical Center for more than 25 years until he retired in 2017.

Mark was a people person and enjoyed spending time helping whenever he could even after retirement. He was a kind-hearted and giving person, he cared deeply for everyone in his life. He was an avid KC Chiefs fan and loved all things Elvis. Mark had a signature gray beard which he refused to part with so that he could play “Santa Claus” for both his family and the hospital. He volunteered his time wherever he could and enjoyed several social activities at the Senior Center.

Survivors include a Brother- Norman “Pete” Kramer of Great Bend, Ks, Sister- Carol (Daryl) Tieben of Dodge City, Kansas, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents and one Nephew- Bernard Adam Kramer.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday May 5, 2022 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with burial to follow at Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will take place Thursday May 5, 2022 from 9:00 am until service time also at Garnand Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be available for viewing via Facebook Live on the Garnand Funeral Homes Facebook Page. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Southwest Medical Center or Donor’s Choice in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
