FOWLER – Donald E. Lang, age 75, passed away Tuesday evening, September 17, 2024, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, Kansas.

He was born February 4, 1949, at Fowler, Kansas, the son of Everette and Edith (Hindman) Lang. As a young boy he attended school in Fowler where he participated in FFA, football, basketball, and track, graduating from Fowler High School in 1967. After his graduation, he joined the National Guard and Reserves for a few years. A longtime area resident, he was a farmer.

He enjoyed farming, raising and selling cattle, and spending time with his family and friends.

On June 1, 1968, he married Diana Reese. After several years of marriage, the couple later divorced. On December 28, 1986, he married Jami Lang. After several years of marriage, they later divorced.

He is survived by three sons, Chad Lang and wife Traci, Slade Lang and wife Abby, and Gage Lang and wife Tiffany; a stepson, Robert Krisle; a brother, Ron Lang and wife Chris; grandchildren, Kimber Crawford, Kolten Lang, Lee Schrader, Paden James, Kayden Weber, Kenyan Weber, Kambrey Weber, Aiden Krisle, Brandon Krisle, Brooklyn Lang, Brynlee Lang, Braxton Lang, Briggs Lang, Caydance Lang,

Silas Lang, and Gemma Lang; and two great-grandchildren, Westyn Crawford and Bryar Baker.

He is preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Jennifer Lynn Husband; a granddaughter, Briana Krisle; his parents; two sisters, Doris Jean Lang and Margaret Ratzlaff; and a brother-in-law Galen Ratzlaff.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Minneola Community Church. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Interment will follow in the Appleton Township Cemetery, Minneola, Kansas.

The family would welcome memorials to Meals on Wheels of Fowler in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
