Don David Dunn, aged 52, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June25, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Born on November 13, 1971, in Hugoton, Kansas, he was the cherished son of Don Ray and Barbara Ann (Mumy) Dunn.
Growing up in Richfield, David found joy in the simple pleasures of rural life and embraced his roots as a farm kid. His love for farming blossomed and remained a steadfast passion throughout his life. After he graduated from Rolla High School in 1990, he further honed his skills in carpentry at Hutchinson Community College and graduated in 1992.
David’s bond with his father, Don, was truly special. They shared an unbreakable connection that was evident in their every interaction. Their recent Father’s Day trip to Colorado showcased the depth of their bond as they explored farming landscapes and historical sites together.
David was an active member of Richfield Community Methodist Church and found joy in being involved with various community organizations like the Morton County Historical Society in Elkhart and the Richfield Volunteer Fire Department. He was on various boards for Richfield Community Methodist Church and Morton County Historical Society. He worked at Rolla High School for several years. David also did a two week mission trip in Alabama to help with tornado relief. His dedication to service and his love for helping others left a lasting impact on all who knew him. During high school and college years he worked on the farm for Jim Trahern. Later years, he worked on the farm for Wesley Schmidt and Wes Ellis and then started farming on his own.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted father, Don Dunn of Richfield, KS; loving brother Jared Dunn of Liberal, KS; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and a host of friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and warmth.
David is now reunited with his beloved mother, Barbara Ann Dunn. His legacy of love and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30th from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, July 1st from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at Richfield Community Methodist Church with Pastor David Eckert and Pastor Mike Keating leading the service. Following the ceremony, David will be laid to rest at Richfield Cemetery in Richfield.
