Diane S. Kopplemann, age 77, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022, at the Kansas Medical Center, Andover, Kansas.
She was born January 22, 1945, at Ness City, Kansas, the daughter of John Harry and Lois Louise (Scott) Hermon. As a young girl, she attended school in Ness City, graduating from Ness City High School.
In 1964, she married Kenneth Dean Mosier at Ness City. After their marriage, they lived in Dodge City, Kansas, where she worked for the Sacred Heart School in the cafeteria. She later received her training as a dietary supervisor. Moving to Fowler, she began working for the Fowler Nursing Home for nineteen years. She later worked in the cafeteria at Cimarron Feeders for eight years. In 2000 she moved to Meade, working as a nannie for seven years.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, served as the church council secretary in Boise City, Oklahoma, and the Community of Life from 2005-2014. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her sugar cookies, hosting social events, spending time with friends, family, and especially her grandchildren.
She is survive by a son, Kenneth John Mosier and wife Theresa of Moore, Oklahoma; two daughters, Corlinda Cordes of Meade, Kansas, and Teresa Smith and husband Robert of Dunbar, West Virginia; a sister, Karen Corpstein of New Albany, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Kristy Shelton, Kelsey Cordes, and Jerald Moiser; several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marie Long; and a granddaughter, Allison Hamilton.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Meade. There will be no public viewing, as cremation has taken place. Family interment will be held at the Graceland Cemetery at a later date.
The family would welcome memorials to the Kansas Talking Books or the Fowler Residential Care Center in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
