Diane M. Blehm

Diane M. Blehm, age 88, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Western Prairie Senior Living Community in Ulysses, Kansas.  She was born September 2, 1932, in Satanta, Kansas, the daughter of Marvin R. and Eva M. (Kepley) Scranton. 

 

Diane a lifelong resident of Ulysses was a graduate of Grant County Rural High School.  She married Norman Blehm on February 19, 1950, in Ulysses.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Jr. Civic and Study Club.  Diane will be remembered as a remarkable wife, mother, and grandmother; devoted to her family.  She loved creating traditions and making memories.  Her guidance and support has had an enormous impact on all our lives.  Diane was an accomplished seamstress, avid antique collector, historian, and lover of animals.  

 

She leaves this world beyond the pain, the confusion and frustration of not remembering.  Diane leaves us all the blessings, memories and traditions she brought into our lives.

 

Diane is survived by her husband, Norman; daughter, Debbie Bell of Ulysses; grandsons, Brett Bell of Wichita, and Brady Bell of Evergreen, Colorado; brother, Ken Keusler of Ulysses; and eight great-grandchildren.

 

Diane is preceded in death by her parents; and son, N. Duane Blehm.
