Dewayne Curtis Schroeder, 62, of Vinita, Oklahoma passed away March 11, 2020 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Dewayne was born September 11, 1957 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of William Kermit and Maria Rose Friesen Schroeder. He grew up on the family farm near Adams, Oklahoma then in 1968 the family moved into Adams.
He attended Adams school until the eighth grade and then attended Hooker High School.
After school he farmed with his parents and did construction with the Schroeder Brothers.
Dewayne enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a woodworker and played the guitar.
He was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Adams where he sang in the choir.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his sister, Kathy Krontz of Hooker, Oklahoma; nephews, Rodney Krontz, Jr. and Justin Krontz; great niece, Carly Krontz and great nephew, Colton Krontz
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Mennonite Brethren Cemetery near Adams, Oklahoma with Rev. Odie Nunley officiating. Roberts Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
