Derek Glenn Settlemyer, 32, died on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, MO.

He was the son of Donavon Settlemyer and Deborah (Dallan) Settlemyer, he was born on December 26, 1984 at Liberal, KS.

He and Aubrey Bittel were married on September 20, 2014 at Bonner Springs, KS.  They made their home at Gladestone, MO.

He graduated from Hugoton High School in 2003 with his twin brother Casey.

He was a college football fan with OU being his favorite team. He like to go fishing and hunting.  He loved to have long conversations with his family and friends. Him and his wife adopted several pets from the animal shelter.

Survivors include his wife Aubrey Bittel, Gladestone, MO; mother, Deborah Dallan Settlemyer, Hugoton, KS.; father, Donavon Settlemyer, Iola, KS.; twin brother, Casey Settlemyer & wife Beth, Hugoton, KS.; Niece, Sadie Mae Settlemyer, Hugoton KS.; four aunts, Godmother, Cheri Dallan & husband Terry Kuehn Hugoton, KS., Barbara Dallan, Holton, KS., Ginger Cantrell, Hugoton, KS., Judy Bagby, Holton, KS., three uncles, Mike & wife Suzie Dallan, Omaha, NE., Charles T. Dallan, Hugoton, KS., paternal grandparents, Veron & Ruth Settlemyer; father and mother in law, Doug & Lisa Bittel, Bonner Springs, KS.; brother in law, Cole & wife Ann Bittle; grandparent in laws, Ed and Donna Stehno, Donna Bittle and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death his maternal grandparents, Charles & Fern Dallan, Aunt & Uncle, Betty & Squirt Lacore, Uncle, Bud Bagby, paternal grandparents, Bill & Wilma Gilbert.

A memorial has been established for the Hugoton Lions Club and Kansas City Hospice House.  Memorials may be mailed to Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236-Hugoton, KS 67951.

Rosary Services will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 7PM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton, KS.

Mass Services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 10AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton, KS and burial at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton.

Friends may call Wednesday 10AM to 5PM at the funeral home.
