Delora Doris Davis, 95, of Balko, OK, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020, at the Beaver County Memorial Hospital in Beaver, OK.

She was born on June 25, 1925, to James and Cora (Boren) Criswell near Laverne, OK.

On October 5, 1943, she married LaVerne Davis at Oberlin, KS; he preceded her in death in 2010.

After she and Verne were married they settled in Beaver County, OK, where they worked their homestead for 62 years. Doris loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren! She enjoyed oil painting, traveling throughout the country with her husband Verne visiting friends and family, and attending square dances throughout the area. Doris was also an avid reader and a marvelous cook! Verne and Doris logged many miles across various dance floors in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. They also enjoyed spending 50 plus years as winter Texans. She was a member of Anthony OHCE, Oddfellows & Rebekahs, Square Dancing Club, and the First Christian Church of Beaver where she cherished her church family.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Karen Sue Grose and husband Joe of Balko, OK; brother, Norman Criswell of Midland, TX; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great Grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Jerry Lee Davis; three brothers, and two sisters.

Viewing will be from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Miller Mortuary in Liberal, KS.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020, at 1:30 pm at the First Christian Church in Beaver, OK, with Pastor Rick Main officiating.

Burial will take place in the Liberal City Cemetery.
