Deborah Sue Golub-Hines

Deborah Sue Golub-Hines, age 60, of Johnson, Kansas died Monday, January 29, 2011 at her home in Johnson, Kansas. She was born January 28, 1951 in San Bernardino, California, the daughter of George Dearmond and Glendena Nadine (Lay) Lieuallen.

Deb was a homemaker and moved to Johnson in 1994. She met Jim Hines in 1990 and he has been her soul mate and life partner since. Deb had worked for Puyear Construction as a bookkeeper. She was also a secretary, postal worker and held other customer service jobs. She was a Girl Scout leader and active in her church as a youth. Deb was an accomplished seamstress and did alterations for many people in Johnson. She enjoyed crafting and was an avid painter, loved music and playing the guitar.

Survivors include Jim Hines of the home; two daughters, Stephanie Ball and husband John of Laurel, Mississippi, Christina “Crissy” Milroy of San Bernardino, California; son, Beau Hines of Johnson, Kansas; her mother, Glendena Lieuallen of Johnson, Kansas; one sister, Jeanette Hildebrandt and husband Ron of Hesperia, California; one nephew, George Hildebrandt; one niece, Rebecca Kujawa; and eight grandchildren, Alexander Leigh Ball, Victoria Nadine Ball, Layla Kate Milroy, Mikey Golub, Kameron Golub, B.J. Hines, Grant Hines, and Shawn Michael Hines.

Deb is preceded in death by her father, George Lieuallen; and son, Michael Golub.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 04, 2011 at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson, Kansas.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 05, 2011 at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson, Kansas with Reverend Dave Kaufmann officiating.
