Deanna Marie Flores, 42, of Liberal, passed away on September 29, 2024, at Liberal, Kansas. Her husband, Adam Flores, was with her at the time of the tragic train accident. Adam, known as “Coco”, had lived in Liberal for many years and was well-known in the community.
Deanna was born on November 7, 1981, to David and Helen (Giles) Bailey at Dover, Maine.
She became a resident of Liberal, Kansas, at the age of 19 after growing up in North Carolina and graduating from high school there. Deanna was known for her unconditional love for her children, nieces, nephews, and animals. She cherished her pets and loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. With a heart of gold, Deanna would often go without in order to help others, always putting people before herself. Coco was the love of her life, and they had been married for 16 years. She enjoyed cookouts and swimming; family was central to her life.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Deanna is survived by her Mother, Helen Davis; Stepfather, Doyle Davis; Sisters, Ann Martie and Amanda Thompson; Brother, David Thompson; Daughter, Annmarie Dillion; Son, Herman Jr. Dillion; Nephews, Scott Bond, Lucas Bond, Elden Bond, Nicholas Bond, Tyler Bond, and Ryan Martie; Niece, Isabella Martie. Deanna also left behind many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Father, David Bailey; Grandfather, Arthur Bailey; and Grandmother, Anna Bailey.
Due to the severity of the accident, there will be no viewing.
A Memorial Service may be announced at a later date.
