David Zeller

– David W. Zeller, age 62, passed away Wednesday morning, January 8, 2020, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.

He was born December 8, 1957, in Wamego, Kansas, the son of Dominic and Geraldine (Freeby) Zeller. As a young boy he attended school in St. Mary’s, Kansas. He then married Susan Gibbs, and they had two sons, Tyler and Corey Zeller. David worked ten years at a brick plant in Hosington, Kansas, where he also had a lawn care business on the side. Thereafter he began his retiring career, working for the Union Pacific Railroad.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, swimming, playing cards, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.

In July, 1998, he married Judith D. (Judy) Reed. She precedes him in death on April 5, 2018.

He is survived by two sons, Tyler Zeller of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Corey Zeller of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a daughter, Kirsten Denoyer of Amarillo, Texas; four brothers, Daryl, Jack, Ray, and Kenny Zeller; two sisters, Trudy and Karen; and five grandchildren, Adalei Zeller, Mirabella Zeller, Hudson Zeller, Deringer Denoyer and Bristol Denoyer

He is preceded in death by Judy Zeller; his parents; and a brother Tom Zeller.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020, at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Cremation will follow visitation with a memorial service to be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newbury, Kansas, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 10:30a.m. Graveside service to immediately follow.
