David Everett Meyer

David Everett Meyer, age 69, of Ulysses, Kansas died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at his home in rural Grant County, Kansas. He was born December 6, 1943 in Garden City, Kansas, the son of Herman Everett and Arlene (Smith) Meyer.

David was a lifetime resident of Grant County and graduated from Grant County Rural High School in 1962. He married Carolyn Oldham in January 1968 in Ulysses, Kansas. David farmed for a living and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of the home; sons, Mike Meyer and wife Stacy of Ulysses, Kansas, Mark Meyer and wife Elizabeth of Bennett, Colorado; one brother, Phillip Meyer and wife Ann of Wasilla, Alaska; four grandchildren, Katelynne, Cori, Cole and Zachary.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas with Pastor Kris Humphrey officiating.
