Darrel Allen Webb, age 75, passed away Wednesday, February 19 at Homestead Estates Home Plus in Liberal, Kansas. He was born on September 1, 1949 in Liberal, Kansas to Delmer and Lanora (Stevens) Webb. He attended Liberal High School where he graduated in 1967, Kansas State University where he graduated in 1971 and then earned a Masters degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
He married his high school sweetheart, Rozelle Bruns, on June 7, 1970 in Liberal. She survives. He was extremely proud of his son, Darren, his daughter-in-law Emily, and his grandchildren, Natalie, Arien, Trenton, and Nathan.
Darrel farmed in Seward County for over 40 years and loved living in the country. His favorite hobby was taking care of the trees in the windbreak surrounding his home. In earlier years, he also enjoyed woodworking.
Darrel was a long-time member of First Baptist Church (Crosspoint Church) and served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years. He was a man of deep faith, helping many people in need, and he loved sharing the love of Jesus.
Darrel is survived by his son Darren and his wife Emily; his grandchildren Natalie, Arien, Trenton, and Nathan, all of Valley Center, Kansas; his brothers Howard Webb and his wife Laura of Waxahachie, Texas and Arden Webb and his wife Glenda of Hugoton, Kansas; his sister Lora Jones of Liberal, Kansas; his brother-in-law, Henry Bruns and his wife Debbie of Salina, Kansas; his sister-in-law, Sandra Hampton and her husband, Ed of Gardner, Kansas; 7 nephews and 4 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents Delmer and Lanora Webb; his brother Keith; his granddaughter, Shelby Faith Webb; his brother-in-law, J. L. Jones; his niece, Janessa Jones, and his nephew, Jayden Jones.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Crosspoint Church, 204 N Sherman Ave. in Liberal, with family present to greet friends.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Crosspoint Church with Pastors Jonathan Zamaora and David Bagwell, officiating.
