Darla Colantonio, age 65, of Moscow, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kansas, with her family by her side.  She was born April 27, 1956, in Hugoton, Kansas, the daughter of Oscar Monroe Jr. “Monty” and Christine Marie (Stoddard) Munson.

 

Darla was a lifelong resident of Moscow where she graduated High School in 1974.

Darla worked at Northwest Cotton Growers for several years. When Darla wasn’t enjoying her grandkids, she could be found cooking chili and cinnamon rolls, while she was cheering on the KU Jayhawks or KC Chiefs.

Darla had a special way to always see the good in everyone.

Darla is survived by her husband, Greg Condren of Moscow, KS; children, Julie (Kenny) Shank of Hugoton, KS, Marsha Pate of Hugoton, KS, Brandon (Sara) Condren of Lawrence, KS, and Kayla (Javier) Colantonio of Ulysses, KS; mother, Christine Suddeth of Hugoton, KS; brother, Steve (Anita) Munson, of Moscow; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Darla is preceded in death by her father. 

Graveside memorial service will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Moscow Cemetery in Moscow, Kansas, with Pastor Patty Lahey officiating.  The service will also be live streamed on Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page.  Memorial contributions may be given to Pheasant Heaven Charities in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W.
