Darin Scott Post, age 55, died Monday, June 8, 2020, at his home in Johnson, Kansas. He was born September 27, 1964, in Johnson, Kansas, the son of Donnie and Vida (Woolery) Post.
Darin grew up in rural Stanton County and graduated from Stanton County High School in 1984. He participated in basketball and football with both teams being state champions. Darin has worked at Stanton County Recreation Department, Collingwood Grain, and for Tarbet Redi-Mix where he operated a cement mixer truck. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Darin is survived by son, Marcus Post of Johnson; daughter, Darii Post of Johnson; siblings, Devone Sides and husband Ron of Hugoton, Elaine Post of Hutchinson, Steve Post of Manter, and Dawn Higgins and husband Steve of Buckeye, Arizona; and seven grandchildren, Briar, Brooklynne, and Liaz, Naomi, Cheyenne, Anthony, and Marleyne.
Darin is preceded in death by his parents, Donnie and Vida Post; sister, Lorri Cullison; and grandparents, Floyd and Lillian Woolery, and Lloyd and Lucille Post.
The family will conduct a public memorial service at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 15, 2020, at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church in Johnson with Pastor Zach McNall officiating.
