Danny Fisher

Danny Fisher, age 65, of Elkhart, Kansas, died Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart. He was born June 29, 1952, in Elkhart, Kansas, the son of George Jr., and Twylah (Gore) Fisher.
Danny grew up in Elkhart and graduated from Elkhart High School. His work history included working for area farmers, running his own cattle herd, and driving truck for Morton County Road Department. Danny was a very patient and people oriented person. He was always willing to listen and offer words of encouragement. He coached his son’s baseball teams, enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Danny was an avid reader of history, and was always sharing the produce he got out of his garden. Danny was a double lung transplant recipient seven years ago.
On September 3, 2009, Danny married Dindy Ellis in Elkhart, Kansas. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons; Adam Fisher and Cobb Fisher both of Wichita; step-daughter, Kayla Espinoza and husband Mark of Elkhart; mother, Twylah Fisher of Elkhart; brother, David Fisher of Elkhart; sisters, Linda Jackson of Nash, Oklahoma, Sonia Scott of Elkhart; and two grandchildren, Alex and Ally Espinoza.
Danny is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas, with Pastor Shella Choi officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart, Kansas.
