Daniel G. Bayha

Daniel G. Bayha, age 66, passed away September 18, 2019, at his Meade, Kansas, residence.
He was born November 7, 1952, at Meade, Kansas, the son of Arthur Loren and Marie (Zortman) Bayha. As a young boy he attended school in Fowler, Kansas, graduating from Fowler High School in 1970. While in high school, he excelled in scholastics and track and field. After his graduation, he attended Pratt Community College. He later attended Washburn University, Texas Tech University, and the University of Iowa, receiving Masters degrees in Sociology and Mathematics. After his education, he began his career in Marketing Research, working Coca Cola and Cardinal Brands and living in Georgia, Topeka, Wisconsin, and St. Louis, before moving back to Meade County in 2005.
He was a member of the Fowler Friends Church. He enjoyed gardening, reading, creating stain glass items, playing chess, was a life long learner, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Marie of Minneola, Kansas; a sister, Ardith Lewis of rural Fowler, Kansas; a brother, Charles Bayha of Dallas, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Art Bayha.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, Kansas. Cremation has taken place.
The family would welcome memorials to the American Heart Association of the American Legion in care of Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
