Dana Lee Perdue
Joe Denoyer - March 29, 2023 4:43 pm
Dana Lee Perdue was born on October 4, 1954, in Groom, Texas, which was the nearest hospital to her family residence in Ashtola, Texas. The Lord called her home on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Many years ago, Dana yielded her life to God’s plan and purpose. She was a much-loved teacher at the school for nearly 40 years. She loved music and singing. Dana and Karen provided music for many weddings and funerals for over 50 years, but mainly for the Lord. She had a friendly and outgoing personality and loved to visit everyone she met. Dana loved her family, friends, students, and church family; and will be remembered for spreading sunshine and cheer, and genuinely loving people.
Dana is survived by her best friend, Karen Alexander; sister, Kathryn (Perdue) Scott, four nephews, Jamie, Jeremy, Tyler, and Jarod and their families; other family members, her church family, and a host of friends.
Dana is preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Dane and Edna Lee (Mahaffey) Perdue; and sister, Wynona Perdue.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 1:30 PM at the First Church of God in Elkhart, Kansas, with Pastor Denny Huebner officiating. First Church of God is handicap accessible on the north side of the church.
