Dan Graham

Dan H. Graham, 77, of Hugoton, Kansas died Friday December 21, 2012 at Northwest Texas Hospital, Amarillo, Texas. He was born July 30, 1935 in Friend, Kansas, the son of James and Dorothy (Clinton) Graham.
Dan grew up in Shallowater, Kansas. Dan joined the Air Force during the Korean War. After his service in the military, Dan lived in Little Rock, Arkansas where he worked in the oil field service. He also worked as a truck driver, diesel mechanic and as a bus driver. In 1990, he moved to Hugoton, Kansas where he worked until retirement for Southwest Express as a mechanic. Dan married Donita Sutton March 12, 1992 in Hugoton, Kansas. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Donita, of the home; son, Carl Austin of Maumelle, Arkansas; daughters, Gayle and husband Chuck Norton of Maumelle, Arkansas, Sandy Graham, Joy Ayers of Hugoton, Kansas; sisters, Ada Turley of Salida, Colorado, Eva Smith of Scott City, Kansas, Janie Benish of Spearville, Kansas, Sarah Ann Graham of Menahga, Minnesota; brothers, Preston Graham, of Waxahachie, Texas, Richard Graham of Guymon, Oklahoma, and Willie Graham of Stratford, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: brother, Carl Graham: sisters, Jo Shaffer, Glenda Massey, Doris Graham, Rose Elliott, Marlene Bilson; mother-in-law, Donna Sutton.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday December 26, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church in Hugoton, Kansas with Reverend Randy Nash officiating. Interment will follow at the Hugoton Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday December 23, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday December 24, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Hugoton, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the First Christian Church of Hugoton, Kansas in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 423 S. Main, Hugoton, KS 67951.
