Dale R. McFall

Dale R. McFall, age 64, passed away Tuesday evening, August 14, 2018, at the Meade District Hospital, Meade, Kansas.
 
He was born September 9, 1953, at Pontiac, Michigan, the son of John Edward and Charlene (Miles) McFall. After his high school graduation, he attended Northern Michigan University, receiving his Bachelor degree.  He then began his career in teaching at Manton, Michigan.  Later in 1980, he moved to Meade, Kansas, teaching band for eighteen years.  While in Meade, he attended Fort Hays State University and later Wichita State University, receiving his Masters degree.
 
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, serving as a Sunday school superintendent.  He enjoyed teaching, children, puzzle books, playing the lottery, watching television, his dogs, and spending time in the Michigan outdoors.
 
In 1983, he married Susan M. (Wyrick) Tacha in Hawaii.  She survives.
 
Other survivors include a stepson, Robert Tacha and wife Jacque of Meade; a sister, Jacqueline Petersen and husband Ralph of Michigan; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Louise Wyrick of Kismet, Kansas; and a grandson, Henry Tacha.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother John Damon McFall.
 
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the United Methodist Church, Meade.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 7 :00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.  Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome memorials to the United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
