Dale L. Limper, age 91, of Green Valley, Arizona, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at his home. He was born March 3, 1926, in Belpre, Kansas, the son of Jesse E. and Dorothy A. (Jarvis) Limper. The family moved to Ulysses in early 1927 and farmed southeast of town until 1977.
Dale married Betty A. Bennett on May 3, 1947, and they had three children. After 51 years of marriage, Betty died in September 1998. Dale owned the Gambles Store in Beloit until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed going with friends to the casino in Lofland, and going on cruises. Dale married Jimmie A. (McGillivray) Main on March 4, 2001. They were married ten years before Jimmie’s death in 2011.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon D. Wickwar of Green Valley, Arizona; son, Ronald W. Limper and wife Wanda of Ulysses, Kansas; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents; two wives; daughter, Marsha G. (Limper) Metcalfe; and one great-grandson.
A memorial service will be Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with Reverend Kelly Gindlesberger officiating.
