Dale Elmer “Sonny” Williams Jr.

Dale Elmer “Sonny” Williams Jr., 70, of Sulphur, Oklahoma, passed away August 2, 2013 at his home.

Dale was born February 21, 1943 in Beaver, Oklahoma, the son of Dale and Mildred Van Antwerp Williams Sr. He grew up on his family farm southeast of Tyrone, Oklahoma. He attended Baker school, graduating from Eureka High School.

He was a farmer and raised horses and was a member of the American Paint Horse and Quarter Horse Association. He worked in the Seward County ASCS office for ten years.

Dale has worked with the Oklahoman for the last eleven years.

He enjoyed fishing and boating.

Dale married Kathy McCollum in 1962 and they had two sons, Duane and David who both live in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He has two grandsons and two granddaughters.

Dale was united in marriage to Kim Clark on April 21, 2001. He has one stepson, one step grandson and two step granddaughters. Also surviving are his sister Luann Phele of Richardson, Texas; one niece, Melissa and one nephew, Michael.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His wife Kim of the home survives.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Tyrone Cemetery with Pastor Larry Bradford of the Moscow Baptist Church officiating.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Ok 73945.
