Dale E. Harper

Dale E. Harper, age 68, died January 24, 2014 at his residence in Liberal, KS. He was born April 4, 1945 in Beaver, OK, the son of M. E. “Pug” and K. Joyce (Heitschmidt) Harper. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1963. He attended Indiana Tech for 2 years. He was a life time resident of Liberal.

He worked as a wrecker driver for Burr’s Service and Hasty’s Towing. He was an officer for the Liberal Police Department and he worked with the Crime Prevention Program.

On June 6, 1966, he married Beverley Eley they were divorced. On December 14, 1985, he married Bobetta K. Benton in Liberal, KS. She Survives.

Survivors include 3 Sons Stacy E. Harper, Manhattan, KS; Bradley E. Harper , Manhattan, KS; Dustin L. Petrus and wife Mekayla, Garden City, KS. 2 Daughters Darla K. Harper, Liberal, KS; Faye Marie Zimmerman and husband Nicholas, Liberal, KS. Mother K. Joyce Harper, Liberal, KS.

7 Grandchildren Kyla Harper, Charlie Berkel, Tayson, Aaliyah, and Baby Zimmerman and Keely and Kaia Petrus. He was preceded in death by his father and 2 Brothers Dwayne and David Harper.

Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the First Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall with Pastor Arlen Ankle, presiding. A private family inurnment will be held at a late date.

Cremation has taken. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Kansas Heart Association in care of the Brenn
