Colleen Ann Burdge, 79, of Texhoma, Oklahoma passed away December 31, 2018 at Dunaway Manor in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Colleen was born July 16, 1939 in Beaver, Oklahoma, the daughter of Guilford Herbert and Rheva Moyle Couch Bridgewater. She attended school and graduated from Beaver High School with the Class of 1957. She attended Panhandle A&M College in Goodwell, Oklahoma and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a minor in English.

Colleen was united in marriage to Loran Burdge on April 16, 1960 in Beaver, Oklahoma. They made their home in Texhoma their entire lives. Loran passed away December 16, 2004.

She was a member of the Texhoma United Methodist Church, was in the UMW, choir and planned the community cantata. She was a substitute teacher for Texhoma Schools, was an enthusiastic FFA Booster working with livestock. Colleen was an avid Texhoma Red Devil fan and loved making ice cream and cow chip cookies. She was thoughtful of others remembering their birthdays and anniversaries.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Loran and her brother, Larry Joe Bridgewater in 1957.

Survivors include her two sons, Mike Burdge of Hooker, Oklahoma, Steve Burdge of Woodward, Oklahoma and his special friend, Shannon Wadley and her children Landon & Halie Wadley and Eli, Ashlyn Wadley, Jordyn Wadley; brother, Herbert G. and Leora Bridgewater of Beaver, Oklahoma; sister, Moylene and Johnnie Davis of Goodwell, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Emilee Burdge, Scott and Tamahara Burdge, Alan and Kaela Burdge, Brandon Burdge, Nick Adair.

Memorial are suggested to the UMW at the Texhoma United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, Oklahoma 73945.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Texhoma United Methodist Church with Rev. David Jenkins, Rev. Mike Hayes, Rev. Herbert G. Bridgewater and Rev. Kaela Burdge officiating.

Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery in Hooker, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019.
