Christopher Scott Peters

Christopher Scott Peters, 56, of Liberal, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Wichita, KS due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born November 23, 1964 in Liberal, Kansas to John and Inabelle Peters.

He attended Turpin schools and Liberal-area Vo-tech. He was a member of the Turpin Mennonite Church, where we was proud to serve as a greeter.

Chris was loved dearly and leaves many Chris-isms for us to remember him by. Among these, Scooby-Doo, Big Foot, riding ATVs, enjoying his many collections, and spending time with his family brought him (and us) great joy. Nobody was a stranger to Chris.

He is survived by his mother, Inabelle Peters, his sister, Valerie Peters, brother, Brad Peters and his wife Susan, nieces and nephews, Matt and Abby Peters, John and Ashley Peters, Mark and Jamie Peters, Ellie Scheaffer, Reed and Melissa Day, Brant Day and Trevor Muret, and great-nieces and great-nephews Austyn, Carson, Alissa, Rae, Bailey, Claire, Genny, Lynnlee, Gage and Gracyn Peters, Savannah Day, Ashley and Michael Mariche. He also leaves aunts, uncles and cousins to mourn his loss.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, John Dale Peters.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Turpin Mennonite Church. Masks are requested to be worn by those in attendance. The Service will be live streamed on Facebook through the Miller Mortuary Facebook page and will begin at service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Chris’s honor to the Turpin Mennonite Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Miller Mortuary PO Box 826 Liberal, KS 67905-0826.
