Cecilia Hidalgo: Update

Cecilia Hidalgo, 83, of Hooker passed away July 5, 2011 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Cecilia was born April 16, 1928 in Conlen, Texas the daughter of Adelaido and Rebecca Garcia Vigil. She grew up and attended school in Conlen graduating from High School there.

On October 27, 1945 in Langtry, Texas, Cecilia was united in marriage to Paulo Hidalgo. They made their home in Dalhart, Texas where she worked as a Nurses Aid at Coon Memorial Home. In 1973 they moved to Hooker, Oklahoma. Cecilia provide in home care for many families in the Hooker area.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hooker.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Paul; a daughter, Sally Ann Hidalgo; granddaughter, Deedie Taylor; three grandsons, Dustin Lewis, Conrad & James Hidalgo; two brothers, Mag Vigil and Lewis Vigil; four sisters, Pauline Neely, Annie Hidalgo, Sally Gallegos, Mary Frances Vigil.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Hidalgo of Plains, Kansas, Ronnie Hidalgo and Joan of Hennepin, Oklahoma, Paul Hidalgo and Kim of Hooker, Oklahoma; five daughters, Paulette Taylor and Randy of Duncan, Oklahoma, Carolyn Montoya and Robert of Hooker, Oklahoma, Becky Hidalgo of Duncan, Oklahoma, Rosalie Bolles and Larry of Duncan, Oklahoma, Patsy Norman of Burnet, Texas; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.

A Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hooker. A funeral mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday July 9, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hooker directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery.
