FOWLER – Cathryn L. Blankenship, age 88, passed away Friday evening, April 15, 2022, at the Fowler Residential Care Center, Fowler, Kansas.

She was born May 26, 1933, at Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of Leo R. and Bertha (Sobba) Blankenship. As a young girl, she attended school in Fowler, graduating from Fowler High School in 1951. After her graduation, she began working for the Internal Revenue Service in Wichita for 37 years. She late went to work at the Fowler State Bank until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by three nephews, Leonard Fisher, Mike Fisher, and Lee McGraw.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John T. Blankenship; and two sisters, Leona McGraw and Maryann Fisher.

Private graveside services will be held in the Fowler Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade, Kansas, has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family would welcome memorials to the Fowler Residential Care Center in care of the funeral home.
