Carolyn “Sue” Falke

Carolyn “Sue” Falke, 87 died on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.

She was born on April 10, 1937 in Hooker, Oklahoma, the daughter of Herman George and Maddie (Jones) Hitchcock.

In October, 1975, she married David Lee Falke in Dalhart, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2018.

Sue worked for many years as a cashier at Ideal Foods and Dart Inn in Liberal.

Sue liked to sit on her front porch and wave to everyone with her dog Lilly. She loved to read, and watch cowboy westerns.

Sue is survived by her sons,

Doug Harrison of Liberal, Kansas

Mark Harrison and his wife Sue of Linwood, Pennsylvania

Step daughter Carla Sue Canfield of Oregon

Brother, Franklin Hitchcock

2 grandchildren; Brian Mark Harrison and his wife Brittney and Danielle Lynn Devlin and her husband John

8 Great Grandchildren; Brian Jr, Taylor Aubrey, Ava, Brynn and Bentley Harrison, and Carter and Harper Devlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dave, and 9 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 2pm at the First Southern Baptist Church, with Pastor Jack Jacobs presiding.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Southern Baptist Church, in care of the Hornung Family Funeral Home 1212 W. 2nd Liberal, KS 67901.
