Carla Jean Darbro was born February 23, 1963, in Greensburg, Kansas. She is the daughter of John and Shirley (Woolery) Keener. Carla graduated from Satanta High School Class of 1981. From there she furthered her education to receive her CNA and Home Health Aide certification. Carla was united in marriage to Frankie Darbro on September 23, 1992, in Elk City, Kansas. Carla shared a love only she could give this world. She was a very passionate person. Carla was known as “Grandma” to everyone. She loved having a good time with friends and family. She was an avid Chiefs fan. Carla loved to crochet, make homemade bread and cinnamon rolls in her free time.

Her loving family includes her husband, Frank Darbro of El Dorado; daughter, Tammy Darbro of Sedan, Kansas; adopted son, Oliver “Opie” Perkins of El Dorado; mother Shirley Keener of Satanta, KS, grandsons, Jacob Darbro of Sedan, Corey Darbro of Sedan, Eastin Perkins of El Dorado and a granddaughter, Marley Perkins of El Dorado; sister and brother-in-law, Caren and Terry Willis of Oklahoma; sister, Carmen Keener of Satanta; sister-in-law, Rhonda Darbro of Shell Knob, Missouri; mother-in-law, Betty Darbro.

Carla left this world on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. She is preceded in death by her father, John Keener; father-in-law, Frank Darbro; brother-in-law, David Darbro; paternal grandparents, Glenn and Virginia Keener; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Irene Woolery.
