Carl Sidney Helmle

Carl Sidney Helmle, age 91, of Ulysses, Kansas, passed away at the Kansas Soldier’s Home in Ft. Dodge, Kansas, on Monday, December 4, 2023. He was born November 1, 1932, the son of Charles and Wilhelmina (Minnie Mae Molz) Helmle.

Carl served in the US Army for two years and returned to Johnson to farm with his parents. June 15, 1958, he married Alberta Phillis. They were married for 65 years.

Carl is survived by his wife, Alberta; son, Curtis (Curt) and wife, Chairy, Byron and wife, Lyrae; sister, Marie Redden; three grandchildren, Lyndsi Wilson, Samantha Helmle and Lalia Helmle; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Deleza Braelynn Wilson, and Zoey Mae Helmle; and many nieces and nephews.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nancy Helmle Probst; and brother, Charles Helmle.
