Candace Loban

Candace Loban, 73, loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend passed away January 30, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born in Amarillo, Texas to Mae and Donald DeWolfe on April 14, 1948. She was a preemie and liked to tell that she was the smallest surviving baby, to that date, in that big hospital. She was the in the hospital so long the nurses named her Candy.

Candy lived and went to school in Liberal, Ks., and Guymon, Ok. where she graduated from high school in 1966. She was a cheerleader and was honored in many other ways.

After high school, she went one year to Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Ok.

Candy and Robert Dale Loban were married on March 16, 1968 in Guymon, Oklahoma. They moved to Alabama, where he completed Chemical Officer basic and two years of active duty.

After two more years of teaching and Candy serving as high school secretary, they moved to Weatherford, Ok. where Bob completed pharmacy school and Candy to complete a year studying business.

She loved bookkeeping and found she loved accounting just as well.

After moving to the Tulsa area from Colorado Springs in 1986, she went to Tulsa Jr. College and finished an associate degree in business and on to complete and received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She excelled and made nothing but A’s.

Her first accounting job was at Grace Fellowship in Broken Arrow. After moving back to Colorado Springs, she worked at Haley Realty,

and Arlun Corp. where she retired as Accounting Manager.

Candy loved dogs and had many over the years.

She is survived by her husband, Bob, of just short of 54 years. One son, Jess Andrew of Florida and one daughter, Shelley Lynn Loban of Colorado Springs; is also survived by seven grandchildren. Shelley’s are Dennis 17 and Sophie Grace 7. Andrews five are Collin, Candy, Chloe, Camden and Christian.

Candy has been a devoted Christian since childhood and loved the Lord with all her heart.

A memorial graveside service will be held at Hooker Cemetery on February 26, 2022 at 11am. After services a gathering and lunch will follow at Pizza on Broadway in Hooker, Oklahoma
