Bud Loader: UPDATE

Bud Loader, age 76, of Manter, Kansas died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at his home in Manter, Kansas. He was born February 14, 1936 in Stanton County, Kansas, the son of Durward and Lura (Kligore) Loader.

Bud was a lifetime resident of Stanton County. After graduating from Manter High School, he began farming, raising cattle and horses. On January 14, 1956, Bud married Ruth Hale in Clayton, New Mexico. When Bud wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, target shooting, rock hunting, water and snow skiing, and flying.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of the home; sons, Charles Loader and wife Joy of Smithville, Tennessee, Wes Loader and wife Tina; daughter, Tammy Loader and Chris Hoover all of Manter, Kansas; brother, Lonnie Loader of Penrose, Colorado; sisters, Bonnie Stone and husband Charlie of Manter, Kansas, Maurina Chenoweth and husband Gary of Pueblo, Colorado, Debbie and Deanna; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie Loader; and sister, Billie McNutt.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Manter United Methodist Church in Manter, Kansas with Pastor Will Kenyon officiating. Interment will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson, Kansas. Friends may call Friday, February 1, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson. Memorial contributions may be given to the Manter United Methodist Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855.
