Bruenetter Wrotten, 89, died Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her residence in Liberal, KS.
She was born on October 13, 1930 in Gould, AR, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Jasper) Wrotten. She Married Willie Gray in Star City, AK. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Bruenetter worked in many occupations, as a nurse for the Good Samaritan Society and also private duty going into people’s homes to care for them. She also worked for Tradewinds, Walmart, and KFC. She was a member of Believers Ministry, Faith Chapel, and Holy Sanctuary. She very much enjoyed going to church as often as she could, she enjoyed singing, especially gospel hymns. Then in her free time she enjoyed crochet, games, and loved to cook. Her family will always fondly remember her cornbread and assortment of pies.
Survived by her sister Mary Sowers, her sons Earnest L Powell and wife Theresia, Richard Earl Gray, daughters Ida Marie Eatmon and husband Robert, Barbara Ann Holman and husband Frank, Shirley Jean Cooper and husband Troy, and a host of Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Wrotten; brother Harvey Jasper; sons, Mack Jr. Jackson and Michael Lee Jackson; daughters Rosezetter Clay and Henrietta Gray.
Visitation will be Friday, October 2, 2020 from 9AM – 12PM at Hornung Family Funeral Home Chapel. Following will be a short procession to Liberal Cemetery. Graveside service will be at 12:15PM at the Liberal Cemetery, Friday October 2, 2020.
