Bruce Morgan Cochrane, age 63, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at his home in Hugoton, Kansas. He was born June 3, 1961, in Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Michael R. and Karen Kay (Kopfman) Cochrane.
Bruce grew up in Chase, Kansas, then moved with his family to Garden City and settled in Hugoton in 1968. He graduated from Hugoton High School in 1980. Bruce worked at Nordyke Filling Station, John Deere, and retired from the maintenance department at Northern Natural Gas. He loved to fish, hunt, trap shoot and was a member of the ATA.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Kay Thrall of Hugoton; brother, Bret Cochrane and wife Yvonne of Aztec, New Mexico; stepbrothers, Terry Thrall of Felt, Oklahoma, and Tom Thrall of Amarillo, Texas; stepsisters, Lisa Henley of Amarillo, Texas, and Deb Pierce of Albuquerque, New Mexico; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Bruce is preceded in death by his father, Michael Cochrane and stepfather, Carl Thrall.
