Boyd Lee Turner

Boyd Lee Turner, age 70, died November 15, 2022, at the Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born May 11, 1952, in Morton County, Kansas, the son of Richard Leo and Naomi Faye (Paul) Turner.

Boyd grew up west of Elkhart in Baca County, Colorado. He received his education at Yarbrough School and graduated from Elkhart High School. Boyd has lived most of his life in Morton County. He could be found on his ranch doing what he loved, farming and raising cattle. In 2002, he moved to Wyoming and married Tina Kay Payne on July 8, 2004, in Sheridan, Wyoming. They moved to Trinidad, Colorado, in 2015. Boyd enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Tina of their home; mother, Naomi Turner of Elkhart; son Brandon Turner of Texhoma, Oklahoma; and two grandchildren, Anson Hodge Turner of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Cora Shae Turner of Buffalo, Wyoming.

Boyd is preceded in death by his father, Richard Leo Turner; and daughter, Natasha Sue Turner.

Graveside service and interment will be Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart with Reverend Terrell Giddens officiating.
