Bonnie Kaye (Zimmerman) Golliher, 71, died August 24, 2021, in Wichita, KS. She was born on February 14, 1950, in Dodge City, KS the daughter of Edward and Dolly (Craghead) Zimmerman.
Bonnie grew up in Dodge City before moving to Fowler where she graduated from Fowler High School in 1969. The summer after high school she traveled to California with her twin sister to visit relatives and then returned to Fowler where she met Larry Wayne Golliher of Arapahoe, Colorado. They married in St. John the Baptist Church, Meade, KS on July 18, 1970. She became a farm wife south of Fowler on Larry’s grandparents’ (Edward and Hilda Eisenbart) farm. They had 3 children, Patricia, Loren and Edward, and farmed together until their divorce and Larry’s death in 1983. Bonnie raised her 3 children on the family farm until 1996 when she moved into the town of Fowler. She went on to move to Liberal with her twin sister, Connie for a short moment in 2000 and then finally moved to Goddard 2001 and finally Wichita, 2011.
Bonnie was a farm wife and caretaker for most of her life for her twin sister, Connie and later her mother, Dolly (Craghead) Craig. She loved being a farm wife and all that came with it. She also enjoyed camping, gardening and her animals. She had various jobs cleaning, mowing and caretaking for many in the Meade County area, working with Helping Hands. She was part of the Lakeview Card Club for many years and always enjoyed visiting with people.
She was a member of the St. Anothony Catholic Church in Fowler, KS when she moved in 2000. She attended various other catholic churches for Mass but never found another church to call home.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Patricia Fleischman and husband John of Wichita; son Loren Golliher and wife Emily of Springfield, MO and son, Edward Golliher of Limon, CO; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth Fleischman and husband Peter Seddon of Wamego, KS; Emma Fleischman, Thomas Fleischman and Eila Fleischman of Wichita; Edie Golliher and Peyton Golliher of Agate, CO; brother, Kerry Zimmerman and wife Linda of Dodge City; niece, Jennifer Lindsay and husband Kraig of Bucklin, niece, Keri Ann Zimmerman of Topeka and nephew, Keith Zimmerman of Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dolly; her husband, Larry; her nephew, Eric; her sister, Connie and brother, Steve.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021, at the Fowler Cemetery, Fowler, Kansas.
The family would welcome memorials to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
