Bobby “Bob” Morris Tillman

Bobby “Bob” Morris Tillman, 79, of Liberal, passed away on Wednesday,
July 21, 2021 at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas.
He was born on April 19, 1942 to Little Julius “LJ” and Nannie Pearl
(Wylie) Tillman at Harmon County, OK.
On April 15, 1978 he married L M Casey at Liberal, KS: she survives.
Bob was a graduate of Vinson High School in Vinson, OK class of 1960 and
obtained his Bachelor Degree from OPSU. During college in Goodwell, OK
he worked as a Barber to put himself through college. In 1966 he
enlisted into the US Army where he served during two tours in Vietnam
and reaching the rank of Lt. Colonel; he was a lifelong patriot. He went
to work as a Landman for Anadarko in 1979; retiring in the fall of 2002.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and
shooting; he had been a Kansas Hunter Safety Instructor. He also enjoyed
traveling; making trips to Pagosa Springs, CO, Alaska, Hawaii,
Nashville, TN, Yellowstone, and the Boston, MA area for the fall
foliage. Most of all he loved being with his wife Casey. Bob was active
in many organizations throughout his life including being a life member
of the VFW, NRA, and the North American Hunting Club. He also served as
a member of Rotary International, American Legion, Professional Landman
Association, Kansas Society of Farm Managers & Rural Appraisers,
Panhandle State University Alumni Association, Reserve Officers
Association and Seward County Hunter Safety Instructor Association where
he had served as the Association Treasurer. Bob was a long time active
member of the Western Ave. Church of Christ in Liberal.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Casey, Son, Leland Tillman and wife
Alisha of O’Fallon, MO; Daughter, Stephanie Hall and husband Mark of
Liberal, KS; Granddaughter, Sayde Fitzgerald and husband Caleb of
Liberal, KS; Three Grandsons, Slader McVey of Denver, CO, Tucker Tillman
of O’Fallon, MO, and Zeke Tillman of O’Fallon, MO; Two Great Grandsons,
Jack and Hank Fitzgerald; Sister, Marjorie Cockrell of Springfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Brother, Wilbur D Tillman.
There will be no public viewing as cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, 11:00 am at
the Western Ave. Church of Christ, with David Rine, officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Western Avenue Church of Christ in care
