Bob D. Moon

Bob D. Moon, 82, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at his home in rural Texas County, Oklahoma.

He was born June 28, 1931 at Liberal, KS, the son of Clarence and Hazel (Robins) Moon.

He married Betty Jo Sanger October 2, 1953 at Liberal, KS. She survives.

Bob was a graduate of Liberal High School and attended college at Panhandle State University. He was a retired member of the National Guard and had also worked for Northern Natural Gas as a Operator for 32 years before retiring in 1993. Bob enjoyed gardening, raising show pigeons, and his grandchildren . He was an active member of the Liberal Senior Center.

He is also survived by a Son – Barr Moon of Tyrone, OK; Granddaughter – Dakota Moon of Turpin, OK; Grandson – Kyler Moon of TX; and Great-grandson – Brekken Moon of Turpin, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, February 17, 2014 and 9:00 am – 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Miller Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rex Petty officiating.
