Billy Don Eagan, 61, of Guymon passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his home.
The son of William Arthur and Sandra Kay (Kenner) Eagan, Billy was born May 11, 1960 in Borger, Texas. The Eagan family moved to Guymon in 1973 from Borger. Billy graduated from Guymon High School with the Class of 1978.
Billy helped with the family business, Eagan’s Warehouse Showroom in Guymon and Liberal, Kansas as well as his appliance sales and service business. Billy also worked for PTCI, before his health forced his retirement in April 2017. He was an active member of the Guymon Chamber of Commerce.
Billy was an avid hunter and shooter. He was an early member of the No Man’s Land Rifle and Pistol Association, the Friends of the NRA, as well as being an advocate and supporter of the OK Department of Wildlife Conservation Hunter Safety Courses and shooting sports for youth. Billy also enjoyed “discussing” politics and world affairs with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Kay Eagan.
He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Eagan of Guymon; his friend and confidant, Mike Eidson and family of Guymon; his aunt, Flo South of Amarillo and her family; along with numerous other cousins and a host of friends.
Graveside memorial services will be conducted Wednesday morning, September 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. Odie Nunley officiating.
Memorials in memory of Billy can be made to the Panhandle State Shooting Sports Complex or to a local charity of choice. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
