Bill Twilleger

Bill Twilleger, age 49, of Los Alamos, New Mexico and formerly of Ulysses, Kansas died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He was born May 1, 1966 in Webb City, Missouri, the son of Gene and Maudie (Jensen) Twilleger.

Bill lived in Kansas and Colorado as a young boy. In 1984, he graduated from Stanton County High School in Johnson, Kansas. Bill married Pamela S. Hebberd on April 5, 1986 in Johnson. Bill’s favorite thing was to serve and take care of people. He enjoyed cooking, time spent with his family, yard work, fishing and music. Bill served on the Grant County Home Products Dinner Committee, was a youth leader and elder at Shelton Memorial Christian Church. He worked at Russ’ Food Center for 23 years, and was currently working at Savers in New Mexico.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela; daughters, Chelsea Gray and husband Eric of Ulysses, Kansas, Maygan Ward and husband Travis of Ulysses, Kansas, Bailey Twilleger of Goodwell, Oklahoma, Madison Twilleger of Los Alamos, New Mexico; mother, Maudie Chaffin of Johnson, Kansas; brothers, Jerry Twilleger of Garden City, Kansas, Randy Twilleger of Canon City, Colorado, John Twilleger of Johnson, Kansas, Mark Twilleger of Johnson, Kansas; sister, Sherry Twilleger of Denver, Colorado; and three grandchildren, Evan Gray, Draven Gray, and Sara Jane Gray.

Bill is preceded in death by his stepdad, Barry Chaffin; and brother, Dennis Twilleger.

Funeral service will be Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses with Reverend Kelly Gindlesberger and Reverend Bill Harrold officiating. Interment will follow at Ulysses Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. Memorial contributions may be given to the Children’s Education Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave, Ulysses, KS 67880.
