Beverly Dale Hansen

Beverly Dale Hansen, 93, of Liberal, passed away on Thursday June 6, 2024 at her home.

She was born on November 20, 1930 to Thelbert and Genevieve (Bradfield) Johns at Cleveland, OH.

On August 8, 1970 she married Edwin Hansen at Santa Monica, CA; he preceded her in death in 2003.

Growing up she spent a lot of time on her family’s farm near Cleveland, OH. When she was 14 she moved to Los Angeles, CA. She lived many years in California and loved the ocean; her favorite home was in Manhattan Beach, CA. Beverly moved to Liberal in 1991 to help raise her grandkids. She enjoyed gardening, reading, classical music, interior designing, refurbishing & reselling antiques that she and Edwin found on their early morning flee market trips. She loved history and keeping up with current events. Beverly took great pride in her home and always said that you should feel like “your house gives you a hug as you walk through the door”.

Beverly is survived by her Son, Robert D. Jewett of Tucson, AZ; Sister, Lois Gibboney of Grove City, OH; Four Grandchildren, Grace Jackson of Hutchinson, KS, Manuel Medeiros of Joplin, MO, Clark Jewett of Los Angeles, CA, and Crystal Jewett of Los Angeles, CA.

She was also preceded in death by her Daughter, Danna Medeiros; Son, Rolly Jewett; Granddaughter, Adrian McCain.

Per Beverly’s wishes there will be no viewing or service.
Burial will be in the Liberal City Cemetery.
